Joni Gutierrez, Ph.D., is an AI strategist, tech philosopher, Founder and Director of the Center for Human–AI Research, Ethics, and Studies (CHAIRES).

His work explores human-centered AI, responsible innovation, and the cultural and creative impact of emerging technologies.

As a film and media scholar, he developed AI Cinematic Realism, a framework for examining how generative media reshapes cinematic meaning, realism, and authorship.
